Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is looking for a Guest Services Agent to support the front desk and assist the Operations Manager. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, handle check-ins/outs, and contribute to delivering Sonesta’s service standards.

This role requires prior hotel or retail experience, fluent English, and the ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training in ServSafe and possibly TIPS may be provided or required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of hotel or retail customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• ServSafe certification required; TIPS certification may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services and location.
• Answer phones promptly and courteously.
• Process cash and credit card transactions per procedures; balance and reports.
• Maintain security of cash, cards, and guest information.
• Upsell rooms when possible and assist with reservations and changes.
• Follow seasonal demand reservation strategy and coordinate with management.
• Assist with guest relations and ensure guest requests are fulfilled.
