Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts in Houston is seeking a Birdies Server to greet guests with a friendly smile and deliver superior service while maintaining full knowledge of our menus and beverage offerings.

You will take orders, coordinate with the culinary team on dietary needs, record transactions in MICROS, ensure guest satisfaction with each course, and keep stations clean through closing duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum 1 year serving in a quality establishment.
• TABC and Food Handler certifications required.
• WineQuest certification required.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Able to lift 20 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
• Must work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly with a pleasant smile and provide superior service.
• Be fully familiar with menus and beverage offerings.
• Polish and clean water glasses before opening.
• Maintain tabletop standards and ensure caddies are full.
• Take orders and suggest menu options.
• Coordinate with culinary team on dietary needs.
• Record transactions in MICROS at order time.
• Check guest satisfaction after each course or drink.
• Present accurate checks and process payments.
• Keep work areas clean and ready for service.
• Set up tables and complete closing duties.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
