Job summary

Residence Inn Birmingham Downtown at UAB is seeking a hotel housekeeper to maintain clean and safe guest rooms and property. You will deep-clean bathrooms, dust surfaces, strip and remake beds, and restock amenities daily.

Position requires physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs, with strict adherence to cleaning procedures and safety standards. HEI benefits and growth opportunities are provided within a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces and work in confined spaces.
• Willing to pitch in and be a team player.
• Knowledge of cleaning agents and operation of cleaning equipment.
• Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs with or without accommodation.
• Proficient verbal and written communication.
• Adherence to cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hotel rooms and building to ensure safe, clean experience for guests and staff.
• Clean bathtubs, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters and floors.
• Strip beds and remake with clean linens (up to 50 lbs bedspreads).
• Dust furniture, pictures, shelves and ledges; vacuum rooms; empty trash.
• Restock amenities and linens; sign for keys and restock heavy cart.
• Visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and report needs.
