Job summary

United Dairy Farmers in Columbus, OH is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily store operations on assigned shifts. You will ensure fast, friendly service, manage the Hi Five Guest Experience, and assist in training staff during peak hours.

The role requires compliance with company policies and state alcohol/tobacco sales laws, along with cash handling and POS accuracy. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, stocking, safety monitoring, and timely reporting to management.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English well enough to communicate effectively with customers.
• Ability to operate store equipment including POS terminal and gas console.
• Ability to handle coins, cash, checks, cards and coupons accurately.
• Ability to lift 21 pounds and tolerate cold and cool environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide the signature UDF Hi Five Guest Experience and greet Guests warmly.
• Prepare DipSide items and hand-packed containers.
• Efficient operation of POS and gas console, including cash handling and transactions.
• Stock shelves, milk boxes, freezers and ensure displays are neat.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety, monitor equipment temperatures.
• Complete time records accurately and follow management directives.
