Job summary

United Dairy Farmers in Columbus, OH is seeking a Shift Leader to support the Store Manager and oversee daily operations. The role is full-time (37–40 hours weekly) and may include 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift.

The Shift Leader delivers the Hi Five Guest Experience, assists with dip-side items, and ensures accurate POS and gas console transactions while maintaining stock, safety, and store presentation.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English well enough to communicate effectively with customers.
• Ability to operate store equipment including POS terminal and gas console.
• Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions and make change.
• Ability to tolerate exposure to freezing and cool temperatures as required.
• Ability to lift and move items, including 21 lb packages, as part of duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide the Hi Five Guest Experience, greet Guests warmly and ensure the store is prepared for Guests.
• Prepare DipSide items and operate the dip cabinet and ice cream/yogurt products.
• Efficiently operate POS system and gas console, handle transactions and payments.
• Stock shelves and maintain presentation of dairy, freezer and dip cabinets.
• Maintain security by monitoring guests and following cash drop procedures.
• Ensure store safety, cleanliness and proper temperature controls.
• Complete time records and other duties as assigned.
