Job summary

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill is seeking a friendly Host to warmly welcome guests, open doors, and guide them to tables with clear expectations. You will manage reservations using OpenTable, communicate wait times effectively, and maintain a spotless host stand, ensuring a welcoming entry for every guest.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Able to stand for 8 hours or more per day.
• Able to lift items up to 25 pounds.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• 18+ age requirement for FOH positions.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly as they arrive and thank them as they leave.
• Open doors and create a friendly, inviting first impression.
• Escort guests to their table and set expectations for their experience.
• Manage reservations and waitlists using OpenTable with accuracy and care.
• Communicate wait times clearly and professionally during peak volume.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entryway.
• Support the dining room by clearing and resetting tables (bussing) as needed to maintain flow and cleanliness.
• Partner with the Front of House team to ensure smooth, seamless service.
