Job summary

Merlin Entertainments in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a Front Desk Agent to greet guests, check them in, and assist with inquiries to ensure an exceptional experience. You will handle payments, reservations, and communications with guests, while coordinating with other hotel departments.

The role requires 1–3 years of front desk experience, proficiency in English, and preferred Spanish fluency. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected in a fast-paced resort environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hotel front desk experience preferred.
• OPERA PMS experience preferred.
• Must be fluent in English; Spanish desired.

Responsibilities

• Check guests in with accurate information and note special requests.
• Maintain and improve the guest experience quality.
• Process payments according to hotel requirements.
• Provide information and assistance to guests and visitors.
• Handle guest room reservations, changes, cancellations, and information.
• Handle incoming and outgoing calls via PBX promptly and courteously.
• Assist with emergencies by contacting designated personnel.
• Coordinate with guest services, safety, housekeeping, and engineering.
• Maintain guest confidentiality.
• Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
