Job summary

The role requires following IHOP Service Guidelines, maintaining table readiness, and upholding sanitation and safety standards. Experience or training is helpful, with IHOP training courses provided as assigned.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend instructions, memos and correspondence.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Read and speak English well enough to understand guest checks and communicate with guests.
• Perform basic arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions.
• IHOP training coursework as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with IHOP employees and guests.
• Execute the 'Service Guidelines' per IHOP SOP to ensure a high-quality guest experience.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and invite them to return.
• Memorize IHOP terminology, abbreviations, methodologies, and menu knowledge.
• Comply with SOP methods for guest checks and server banking procedures.
• Stock and rotate supplies in service areas and dining room per shift.
• Comply with health, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables and clean chairs, booths, and floors after guests leave.
• Perform cleaning duties per posted charts.
• Comply with IHOP uniform and appearance standards per SOP guidelines.
• Perform other assignments by the General Manager or supervisor.
• Comply with IHOP N Go program as assigned.
