Job summary

IHOP is seeking a friendly server to provide prompt and courteous service to guests. Responsibilities include greeting guests, seating, taking orders, processing remittances as needed, clearing dishes, and resetting tables.

The role requires familiarity with IHOP procedures, the ability to read and speak English well, and the flexibility to work in a fast-paced dining environment. Prior experience is helpful but not required; IHOP training will be provided.

• Reading and understanding instructions, memos, and checks.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to read and speak English well enough to understand guest checks and communicate with guests.
• Experience or training is helpful but not required.
• IHOP training as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, seat them, and facilitate dining service.
• Take guest orders and process remittances as required.
• Maintain courteous, efficient service and handle guest complaints politely.
• Remember IHOP terminology, abbreviations, and menu knowledge.
• Stock and rotate supplies, and reset tables after guests depart.
