Job summary

Pelican Inn & Suites is seeking a friendly Guest Service Representative to join our front desk team in the California location. This hands-on, team-oriented role focuses on delivering personalized service to guests and ensuring smooth check-in and checkout.

We offer a sign-on bonus through June 30th and a pay range of $19.00–$21.00 per hour for part-time work, with benefits including retirement plans and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a hotel operations role.
• High School diploma or better.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Organized, proactive, and flexible with a positive attitude.
• Ability to greet guests, handle reservations, and explain hotel services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful demeanor while providing personalized service.
• Greet arriving guests and complete check-in procedures.
• Assist with departures, close guest accounts, and determine room availability.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately at the front desk.
• Answer inquiries and accept reservations by phone or in person.
• Operate the PBX system, set wake-up calls, and coordinate with guests.
• Share local information and hotel features with guests.
• Support teammates and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
