Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Front Desk Associate to warmly welcome guests, check them in/out, and process payments efficiently. You will provide information about services and room locations, and assist with reservations as needed.

The role requires a High School diploma, one year of front desk/guest service experience, and fluent English; some college is a plus. Weekend or night shifts may be required, with benefits including PTO and health coverage.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, plus one year front desk/guest service experience.
• Some college preferred.
• Must speak fluent English; other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner.
• Register guests, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room location.
• Answer phones promptly and courteously.
• Upsell rooms to maximize hotel revenue.
• Process cash and credit card transactions per procedures, including deposits and reports.
• Issue and secure guest safe-deposit boxes.
• Communicate guest requests or issues to management for follow-up.
• Respond to guest complaints with appropriate service recovery.
• May book guest reservations for individuals or groups and handle cancellations/changes.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure quality service.
