Job summary

Target is seeking a Guest Advocate to help families discover the joy of everyday life in our Midwest City store. You will greet guests, resolve issues, and deliver an easy, inspiring shopping experience with a friendly attitude.

You will learn to operate handheld scanners and customer service tools, engage with guests about promotions and loyalty programs, and work with a team to maintain high service standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Communicating effectively, including using positive language and attentive to guests needs
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
• Attention to detail while prioritizing tasks
• Willing to educate guests and engage around products and services
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
• Work both independently and with a team
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments
• Greet guests at 10ft and 4ft with a warm, helpful interaction
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive attitude
• Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience
• Promote and explain Target loyalty programs and assist with sign-up
• Scan and bag all guest items accurately and in compliance with safety standards
• Explain Order Pick-Up and Drive Up options and guide guests to enroll
