Job summary

Lakes Inn at Dunvilla in Pelican Rapids, MN is seeking a Guest Service Agent to greet guests, manage check-in/check-out, and handle reservations with warmth and professionalism.

You will share insider recommendations for Dunvilla and Pelican Rapids, assist with special requests, and coordinate with housekeeping to keep rooms ready.

The role requires flexibility to work weekends/holidays and a friendly, calm demeanor during the busy lake season; knowledge of the local area is a plus.

Qualifications

• Naturally hospitable, outgoing, and able to stay calm under pressure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn property management software (PMS) and operate basic office equipment.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
• Basic knowledge of the Pelican Rapids/Dunvilla area is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a genuine smile, manage the check-in/check-out process efficiently, and handle reservations via phone and online systems.
• Provide insider knowledge on local Dunvilla and Pelican Rapids attractions, dining, and seasonal activities.
• Address guest concerns or special requests with empathy and a can-do attitude.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are ready and meet standards.
• Process payments accurately, manage cash drawers, and maintain guest billing records.
