Job summary

Highgate Hotels in New Orleans is seeking a Guest Service Agent to provide attentive service from check-in to checkout, maximize occupancy, and promote guest satisfaction. You will greet guests, handle inquiries, and coordinate with departments to ensure a smooth stay.

The role requires a friendly, professional demeanor, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced hotel environment. Training provided; shift work and irregular hours may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• College coursework in related field helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests at the Front Desk.
• Maintain PBX console operation and hotel standards.
• Answer guest inquiries about services, facilities and hours.
• Log and deliver packages, mail and messages to guests and meeting rooms.
• Review Front Office logs and daily Trace File.
• Assist guests with restaurant, transportation and activity needs.
• Follow cash handling and credit policies.
• Stay informed on rates, packages and promotions.
