Job summary

Hamilton Hotel in Washington, DC is seeking a Front of House Supervisor to oversee daily restaurant and service team operations. You will train, schedule, and support servers, bartenders, and hosts while ensuring top-tier guest service and alignment with health and safety standards.

You will manage inventory, assist in menu planning with the kitchen, handle customer issues, and produce reports for management. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory role within Food & Beverage operations.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of restaurant and service teams.
• Train, schedule, and support front-of-house staff (servers, bartenders, hosts).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas per health standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies and ingredients.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Assist in menu planning, pricing, and food presentation with kitchen staff.
• Enforce policies on food handling, hygiene, and sanitation.
• Prepare reports on sales, inventory, staffing, and guest feedback for management.
• Support events, private functions, and catering services.
