Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is seeking a guest-focused team member for a front-of-house hospitality role in New York. You will provide guests with quality customer service, take orders, serve food and drinks, and support the team to ensure a memorable dining experience.

You will learn the menu, maintain POS skills, and adapt to a dynamic environment. Applicants should have at least 1 year in a similar role or supportive capacity, with Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness certifications when

Qualifications

1 year of experience in a similar or supportive role preferred.
Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness Certifications (if applicable).
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Able to learn, retain, and present product, menu, and allergy information to guests.
Knowledge of or ability to learn the restaurant POS system.

Responsibilities

Provide support to the team while keeping all areas clean, dry and safe for coworkers.
Greet guests and promptly attend to tables.
Receive and take guest orders, process in POS quickly and accurately.
Prepare and serve meal accompaniments to guests.
Learn and maintain product knowledge of the menu and beverage offerings.
Ensure guests have an enjoyable experience and relay complaints to management.
Perform sidework and help with setup/breakdown of stations.
Open bottled wine for guests and assist with wine service.
Assist with seating guests, taking to-go orders, and answering phones.
