Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is seeking a guest services team member for our restaurant. You will provide guests with quality service, knowledge of menu items, and attentive wine and beverage service, creating personal and memorable experiences.

You will greet guests, take orders, run the POS, learn the menu, and maintain a spotless, inviting dining area. Flexible evenings, weekends, and holidays are helpful as we operate peak times; training is provided to help you shine.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a similar or supportive role.
• Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness Certifications.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Learn, retain, and present product, menu, and allergy information.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn the restaurant POS system.
• Ability to calculate bill amounts and handle payments accurately.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Passion for crafting and personalizing guest experiences.
• Highly motivated and flexible with initiative.
• Flexible schedule, evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with quality customer service by demonstrating excellent knowledge of all menu items.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a punctual, courteous, efficient and accurate manner.
• Greet and welcome our guests and promptly attend to tables.
• Receive and take guest orders, process in POS system quickly and accurately.
• Prepare and serve meal accompaniments to guests.
• Learn and maintain product knowledge of the food, wine, and beverage menu(s).
• Ensure guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience; relay complaints to management.
• Perform sidework and wine service as needed.
• Assist with setting and bussing tables, taking to-go orders, seating guests, and answering phones.
• Attend trainings and meetings; maintain communication with support staff and management.
