Job summary

City Winery Nashville is hiring a Server to deliver consistently exceptional guest experiences in a vibrant live music and hospitality setting. You will take orders, serve food and beverages, handle transactions, and support guest service from start to finish.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years of server experience in high-volume venues, strong communication, and the ability to work flexible shifts while upholding brand standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as a Server in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment
• Strong work ethic, team player, and exceptional guest service skills
• Ability to deliver high-quality guest experiences and exceed guest expectations
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with coworkers and guests
• Ability to read and interpret a POS system and basic business mathematics
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand/walk for entire shift, bend, push, lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive guest experience including greeting, conversing with, and thanking departing guests
• Interact with guests, take orders, serve food and beverages, handle transactions, and support guest service needs from start to finish
• Upsell, increase check average, promote promotions and events, and promote our brand
• Check tables for guest satisfaction and resolve complaints
• Adhere to Steps of Service and maintain brand standards
• Maintain a clean, neat and well-groomed appearance
• Complete side-work and opening/closing duties including setup and breakdown
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of all work areas
• Follow health and safety regulations in handling alcoholic beverages
• Handle payments and maintain accurate cash drawer
• Adhere to cash handling procedures
• Attend training courses, tastings, meetings as needed
• Maintain knowledge of City Winery brand, history, culture and programming
• Maintain menu knowledge including ingredients and allergen information
• Follow all company policies and be ready to work on schedule
• Perform all other reasonably assigned duties
