Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management seeks a capable server to provide food and beverage service with a focus on friendliness, accuracy, and guest satisfaction. You will take orders, input into POS, and deliver meals and drinks while ensuring compliance with liquor regulations and health standards.

The role requires basic knowledge of menu items, excellent guest relations, and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations for serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card or in process of certification.
• Hold a valid TABC license.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
• English sufficient to understand inquiries and give instructions.
• Ability to apply product labeling instructions for safe hotel operations.
• Ability to memorize and promote menu items.
• Operate beverage equipment such as a coffee maker.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly, courteous manner and explain specials/promotions.
• Check station for setup and cleanliness before, during, and after shift.
• Record guest orders and repeat to verify accuracy.
• Enter orders into POS and relay to kitchen.
• Deliver orders with condiments after confirmation of accuracy.
• Adhere to liquor regulations regarding minors and intoxicated guests.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Promote desserts and specialty coffees on request.
• Assist bus staff with clearing and resetting tables.
• Perform side work and stock replenishment.
• Follow health standards and insurance procedures.
• Present the check promptly and handle payments.
• Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
• Know fire prevention and emergency procedures.
• Use protective equipment and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain neat and groomed appearance per handbook.
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
• Assist other restaurant personnel when needed.
