Job summary

Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel is seeking an enthusiastic server to deliver exemplary service to guests in our dining venues. You will greet guests, take orders, suggest menu items, and coordinate with culinary staff to ensure guest satisfaction.

The role requires at least 1 year of serving experience, ability to handle cash transactions, and knowledge of wine and beverage service. Training in TIPS and ServSafe is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year serving experience.
• Must acquire TIPS and ServSafe certifications.
• Developed knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer with experience selling and presenting wines.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take orders in a courteous, professional manner.
• Set tables according to event type and service standards.
• Suggest menu items and offer beverage recommendations to guests.
• Communicate dietary needs and meal requirements with the culinary team.
• Record transactions and handle payments accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and station setup throughout the shift.
• Be pleasant, greet guests by surname when possible, and provide exceptional service.
