Job summary

Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel seeks friendly service-minded team members to deliver exemplary hospitality on the dining floor. You will greet guests, take orders, suggest items, and ensure guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

With at least one year of serving experience and certifications in TIPS and ServSafe, you will work closely with culinary and bar teams, input orders into MICROS, manage payments, and maintain spotless service areas while upholding Omni standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year serving experience.
• Must acquire TIPS and ServSafe certifications.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer with experience selling and presenting wines.
• Previous cash handling experience required.
• Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management and co-workers.
• Ability to input information into MICROS accurately.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide attentive service.
• Set tables according to event type and service standards.
• Suggestively sell menu items and answer questions.
• Coordinate with culinary team on meal requirements and special requests.
• Record transactions in MICROS and process payments.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
• Station setup and breakdown/side-work.
• Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests, using surnames when obtained.
