Job summary

Azul Hospitality in Seattle is seeking a server to provide friendly, courteous food and beverage service in a hotel setting. You will greet guests, take orders, describe menu items, and suggest products, while ensuring legal alcohol service and maintaining spotless dining areas.

Responsibilities include operating the POS, handling payments accurately, and assisting with opening/closing duties. A high school diploma and strong communication are required; prior hospitality experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Leadership capability and ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows OS, PMS, and POS.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take food and beverage orders.
• Describe menu items and ingredients, and methods of preparation; suggest menu products.
• Operate a cash register/POS and receive payment; provide change as required.
• Verify identification and ensure legal drinking age for alcohol service.
• Maintain cleanliness and reset tables; assist with opening/closing procedures.
• Perform side work and assist supervisor as needed; restock and tidy service areas.
• Assist guests professionally and respond to inquiries; report maintenance issues.
