Job summary

Pacific Hospitality Group seeks a hospitality associate to assist guests with menu selections, take orders, and manage POS transactions. The role emphasizes strong guest relations, adherence to food safety standards, and a professional dining experience.

Responsibilities include accurate order entry, balancing payments, maintaining clean work areas, and following health department guidelines. Prior experience in hotel or resort settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of food service experience or hotel/resort environment experience.
• Knowledge of food and beverage preparation, hotel service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Valid current Food Handlers Card and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to learn and use POS computer systems used at the hotel.

Responsibilities

• Help guests select food and beverages by presenting menu and recommending items.
• Enter orders into POS system and record guests' choices and dietary needs.
• Keep kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression.
• Process guest payment transactions accurately and close out the table.
• Balance payment methods with accuracy to the sales report.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and keep area stocked.
