Job summary

Soho House in New York is seeking a Host to be one of the first points of contact for members, guests, and staff. You will greet guests, answer calls, and create reservations for Club or F&B operations, ensuring warmth and professional service from arrival to departure.

You will train reception teammates, master the phone system, and maintain anticipation of covers while keeping tables ready for arrivals, contributing to a positive club atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Must have OpenTable and MICROS experience.
• Experience answering high-volume phone lines professionally, timely and to the best of your abilities.
• Problem solving skills and conflict resolution for anticipated or current matters.
• Detail oriented, articulate and able to multi-task in a high-volume environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests by name and ensure a hospitable first contact.
• Answer high-volume phone lines and handle inquiries regarding menus, hours, and reservations.
• Create reservations for club/restaurants and assist F&B managers on the floor.
• Punctuate interactions with friendliness, accuracy, and discretion.
• Collaborate with the reception team to ensure excellent service and manage expectations.
