Job summary

Bear Creek is seeking a Lift Operator dedicated to guest safety and a memorable mountain experience. You will assist guests on lifts, monitor loading areas, and help ensure a smooth start to their downhill adventure.

This role requires working outdoors in all weather, logging daily operations, and coordinating with other teams. Prior guest service is preferred; machinery experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Guest service experience preferred.
• Availability during peak operating times, i.e.: weekends, holidays and special events
• Previous experience operating machinery a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe & enjoyable experience for our guests on the lifts.
• Maintain the loading areas of the lifts and ensure safe loading/unloading.
• Snow removal from loading area.
• Monitor the equipment to ensure that it is operating properly and report any mechanical problems immediately.
• Execution of lift shut down and evacuation procedures in case of an emergency.
• Greet the guests, anticipate their needs and provide information about the facilities and services.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly operator logs.
• Work outside in all weather conditions and any time of day or night as needed.
• Daily opening and closing procedures.
• Monitor and ensure proper padding and fencing of obstacles.
• Log all lift shut-down and mechanical failures and describing action taken.
• Coordinate with other departments concerning lift operations needs and expectations.
• Inform supervisor of any necessary repairs to equipment
