Job summary

Alterra’s The Westin Monache in Mammoth Lakes, CA is seeking a Guest Experience Manager to oversee lobby operations, concierge and activities, and to drive guest satisfaction. You will respond to guest concerns, ensure smooth service recovery, and step into Front Office Manager duties when needed.

Required are a four-year degree or 2+ years in hospitality, 2+ years guest service, 6–12 months of management, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree or 1-2 years of previous hospitality experience.
• Minimum of two years’ guest service or hospitality experience.
• Marriott/Westin experience beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Minimum of 6 months to 1-year management experience.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Professional demeanor, attitude, and appearance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, employees and management.
• Flexibility in scheduling based on guest demand and occupancy changes.

Responsibilities

• Oversees lobby operations and hotel amenities, such as bell/valet services, concierge and activities.
• Manages guest concerns, satisfaction and guest recovery ensuring overall guest satisfaction.
• Performs duties of the Front Office Manager in their absence.
