Job summary

The Smith Center for the Performing Arts is seeking a Guest Experience Manager to oversee on-site guest services during performances. This on-call, non-exempt role reports to the Guest Experience Manager and works primarily in Myron’s, Troesh Studio Theater, with occasional Reynolds Hall assignments.

The position requires overseeing the Usher team, coordinating with security, and ensuring safety, accessibility, and exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of supervisory experience in guest services or front-of-house environments.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are required.
• Must be 21+ years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, security, and comfort for guests, volunteers, and staff.
• Enforce emergency and evacuation procedures and report incidents promptly.
• Monitor and address safety or service incidents during performances and coordinate with Security.
• Supervise Usher team and collaborate with artists, culinary management, and guest experience leadership.
• Prepare post-performance reports and ensure proper documentation and cross-functional distribution.
