Job summary

The Fresh Market in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Guest Service Specialist to be the front-end leader for hospitality, guest flow and cash operations. You will model excellence, maintain efficiency, and ensure consistent execution of cash controls and store standards.

Responsibilities include guiding cashiers, supporting digital orders, supervising the front end, and helping minimize product loss while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Be a visible example of hospitality, educating guests and team members on products and services.
• Manage frontend guest flow and assist cashiers to ensure frictionless checkout experiences.
• Uphold cash office procedures and controls, including management of cash and keys.
• Direct the guest service team to maintain sanitation and cleanliness at the front end and restrooms.
• Support execution of digital fulfillment orders, ensuring speed and accuracy.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach store-wide.
• Assist in managing the department, inventories, and team to minimize product loss.
