Job summary

The Thoroughbred Club, operated by Beemok Hospitality Holdings, seeks a courteous Host to create a welcoming entry experience for guests and coordinate seating to kick off a positive dining visit. You will manage reservations, seating plans, and the waitlist while communicating with the serving team to ensure smooth service.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and prior hospitality experience, with strong communication skills and basic computer/ POS knowledge.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior hospitality and/or food & beverage experience preferred.
Must be able to read, write and understand the primary language used with guests.
Must have basic communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of POS systems.
Knowledge of table settings and service ware.
Ability to describe menu items and use suggestive selling techniques.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and assess seating preferences.
Escort guests to tables and provide menus.
Communicate wait times and keep guests updated while they wait.
Manage reservations and seating chart to maximize turnover.
Use reservation/waitlist systems to assign tables based on reservations and server sections.
Maintain clean and organized host station and entrance area.
Ensure menus are presentable and replace damaged ones as needed.
