Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in a host or customer-facing hospitality role preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Professional appearance and welcoming demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of reservation and seating systems (OpenTable or Resy a plus).

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests warmly upon arrival with a polished, welcoming demeanor.
• Manage reservations, walk-ins, waitlists, and seating assignments using the designated system.
• Balance guest seating with server sections and kitchen pacing to maintain flow.
• Communicate accurate wait times and provide polite updates.
• Answer phones, assist inquiries, and support reservation requests professionally.
• Coordinate with servers, bussers, and managers to support service flow.
• Maintain cleanliness at the host stand, entrance, and waiting areas.
• Thank guests at departure and invite them to return for a positive impression.
• Stay informed about menu offerings and events to answer questions and upsell.
• Assist with special accommodations (e.g., highchairs, accessibility).
• Follow health & safety regulations and uphold brand standards.
