Job summary

VE Hospitality Group is seeking friendly and hospitable individuals to join our team as Restaurant Hosts/Hostesses. You will be the first point of contact for guests, greeting them warmly, managing reservations, and coordinating seating.

Responsibilities include waitlist management, providing menu information, and clear communication with servers. The role offers an opportunity for growth in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Host/Hostess or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude upon their arrival.
• Maintain an organized reservation system, including taking reservations over the phone or online.
• Manage the seating process, balancing guest preferences, table availability, and server assignments.
• Effectively manage waitlists during peak dining hours with estimated wait times.
• Provide guests with information about menus, specials, and promotions.
• Communicate with servers and kitchen staff regarding table availability and requests.
• Maintain a clean host/hostess stand and waiting area.
• Bid guests a warm farewell and collect feedback as they depart.
