Job summary

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; customer service or hospitality experience a plus.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm, organized, and professional during high-volume, fast-paced periods.
• Strong multitasking and problem-solving skillsBasic computer/POS or reservation-system skills (or willingness to learn).
• Team-oriented attitude and reliability.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival to create a strong first impression.
• Manage the waitlist and seating chart to balance server sections and maximize table turns.
• Quote wait times accurately and communicate updates to waiting guests.
• Answer the phone professionally, take reservations, and respond to guest inquiries.
• Escort guests to tables, present menus, and relay specials or notes to the serving team.
• Coordinate with servers, bussers, and management to keep tables cleaned and reset promptly.
• Monitor dining room flow and flag seating or service issues to management.
• Maintain a clean, organized host stand and entrance area.
• Handle guest concerns or special requests and relay to the right team member.
• Assist with to-go orders, phone orders, or online order pickup as needed.
• Say goodbye to departing guests and thank them for visiting.
