Qualifications

• Must have excellent people skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to stay organized and professional during high-volume periods.
• Comfort with basic computer/POS or reservation systems and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival.
• Manage waitlist and seating chart to balance server sections.
• Accurately quote wait times and communicate updates to guests.
• Answer phone, take reservations, and respond to inquiries.
• Escort guests to tables, present menus, and relay specials to the team.
• Coordinate with servers/bussers/management to reset tables quickly.
• Monitor dining room flow and flag seating or service issues to management.
• Maintain a clean host stand and entrance area.
• Handle guest concerns or special requests and relay to the team.
• Assist with to-go and phone orders as needed.
• Say goodbye to departing guests and thank them for visiting.
