Miskiri Hospitality Group is seeking a warm, organized Host/Hostess to greet guests, manage seating and wait times, and keep the front of the house running smoothly.

This role requires excellent people skills, composure under pressure, and the ability to multitask during busy periods, with duties spanning reservations, seating charts, and collaboration with servers.

You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment and play a key part in creating a welcoming first impression for every guest.

Qualifications

  • No prior experience required; customer service or hospitality experience a plus.
  • Friendly, outgoing personality with strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to stay calm, organized, and professional during high-volume, fast-paced periods.
  • Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills; basic computer skills or willingness to learn POS/reservation systems.
  • Team-oriented attitude and reliability.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating.
  • Manage waitlist and seating chart to balance sections and maintain efficient table turns.
  • Accurately quote wait times and communicate updates to guests.
  • Answer the phone, take reservations, and respond to guest inquiries.
  • Escort guests to tables, present menus, and relay specials to the serving team.
  • Coordinate with servers and management to ensure prompt table readiness.
  • Monitor dining room flow and flag seating or service issues to management.
  • Maintain a clean host stand and entrance area.
  • Handle guest concerns or special requests and relay to the appropriate team member.
  • Assist with to-go orders or order pickups as needed.
  • Bid guests farewell and thank them for visiting.
