Job summary

Paradies Lagardère in Boston is seeking a friendly and energetic Host to welcome guests and manage seating with a focus on first-class service. You will greet guests, monitor wait times, coordinate seating with front-of-house staff, and assist servers as needed in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires excellent communication, the ability to work in a high-energy setting, and a willingness to handle to-go orders and POS transactions. A high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a high energy and demanding environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as with other team members.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service.
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists.
• Coordinate with Front of House staff regarding available seating and ensure proper server rotation.
• Seat guests and manage the host stand with a professional, welcoming presence.
• Assist with to-go orders in the POS system and handle cash/credit/debit transactions accurately.
• Maintain appearance of the host area and adhere to merchandising and maintenance standards.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines and comply with applicable laws.
• Address customer concerns promptly and ensure a clean, sanitized environment.
• Assist servers and food runners as needed and be able to maneuver heavy trays.
