Job summary

Outback Steakhouse at Tempe, part of Out West Restaurant Group, is hiring a friendly Host/Server Assistant to welcome guests, seat them, and support the service team with a smile.

Learn menu items, make thoughtful recommendations, answer calls, and help with bussing and delivering. This role emphasizes teamwork, guest satisfaction, and safe food handling in a fast-paced dining environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs; able to work in hot and cold environments.
• Ability to walk, stand, or bend for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Making a memorable first and last impression.
• Greeting incoming and departing Guests in a welcoming manner; seating Guests and smooth handoff to service staff.
• Coordinating the wait and seating Guests with urgency.
• Smiling and engaging with Guests.
• Knowledge of food and drink menu; ability to recommend and upsell products.
• Answering the phone promptly and directing calls.
• Team player; bussing tables, delivering food/bar beverages, assisting Guests.
• Lead lobby experience following hospitality standards.
• Committed to safe food handling, cleanliness, and sanitation.
