National Club in New Bedford is looking for a friendly Host/Hostess who will be the first and last face guests see in a fast-paced restaurant. You will welcome guests warmly, seat them at a comfortable pace, and coordinate with servers and managers to ensure smooth service and accurate seating arrangements.

The role emphasizes hospitality, clear communication, and proactive handling of reservations to maximize guest flow and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Understand our Guest-Obsessed culture and create a positive guest experience.
• Welcome guests warmly by opening the door, smiling, and making eye contact as they enter.
• Seat guests at their own pace, handing the appropriate menu(s) after seating.
• Communicate with servers and managers regarding table availability, seating of large parties, or special requests for seamless service.
• Listen to guests' concerns, inform a manager, and resolve issues to boost overall guest satisfaction.
• Maximize reservations at all time slots, create a waitlist and efficiently manage it using OpenTable.
