• Able to stand for long periods (up to 5 hours)
• Clear and effective communication in the predominant language of guests

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests on arrival
• Open the front door for guests when possible
• Record guest names and party size when seating is limited
• Call out names and party numbers when tables become available
• Provide guests with estimated waiting times
• Accommodate special seating requests when possible
• Seat guests balancing guest flow across stations
• Keep host stand and closet clean and stocked
• Maintain clean windows in the foyer and bathrooms with hourly checks
• Present menus and introduce servers when seating guests
• Relay messages to servers as needed
• Thank guests and invite them to return
• Answer the phone with a smile and proper greeting
