Job summary

Paradies Lagardère in Austin is seeking a friendly host to greet guests, seat guests, and support front-of-house operations in our dining division. You will manage waiting lists, answer questions about the menu, and help ensure a smooth flow of service.

The role requires strong English communication, a positive attitude, ability to lift 25 lbs, and the energy to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Food and Beverage experience in a full service setting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a high energy and demanding environment.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as with other team members.
• Able to work unsupervised for extensive periods, and to demonstrate good judgment when dealing with customers and peers.

Responsibilities

• Exceed First Class Service standards and behavior with guests, business partners, and peers.
• Create a lasting first and last impression. Engage with guests in a friendly, welcoming, and professional manner.
• Provide accurate wait time and monitor waiting lists.
• Use knowledge of menu to answer guest questions.
• Coordinate with Front of House staff regarding available seating.
• Seat guests, ensuring proper server rotation is maintained.
• Process to-go orders quickly and efficiently in the point-of-sale system.
