Job summary

Square One Concepts, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic Host to warmly welcome guests and guide them to seating arrangements. You will manage wait lists, coordinate reservations, and partner with servers to ensure smooth dining experiences.

The role requires strong customer service, multitasking, and a professional demeanor in a fast-paced setting. Flexible hours and a positive team dynamic are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in customer service, hospitality preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay organized and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy in seating and guest information.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Food Handlers Certification required.
• Familiarity with POS software such as Aloha/Paylocity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly as they arrive and establish a friendly tone.
• Manage waiting list and seating to maximize capacity and minimize wait times.
• Keep entrance clean, inviting, and presentable for guests.
• Communicate wait times clearly and provide updates.
• Assist in coordinating reservations and recording details accurately.
• Escort guests to tables, present menus, and highlight daily specials.
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen for smooth table turnover.
• Monitor dining areas and ensure timely cleaning for turnover.
• Handle guest inquiries and escalate issues to management when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and allergens.
• Adhere to health, safety, and cleanliness standards throughout the restaurant.
• Collaborate with management to improve guest satisfaction and service.
