Job summary

The Rustic is seeking a friendly Host to be the first point of contact for guests in Houston. You will greet guests, manage wait times, and guide them to dining or bar areas to ensure an exceptional start to their visit.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, organization, and customer service skills, plus the stamina to stand and walk throughout shifts. Familiarity with health and safety regulations and active TABC/food handler certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills for in-person and phone interactions.
• Strong organizational skills to manage seating for dining and bar areas.
• Commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction.
• Must be able to walk and stand for entire shifts.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and certifications (TABC/Food Handler).

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests to the venue and assist with seating.
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists.
• Escort guests to dining or bar areas and present menus.
• Announce servers' names and greet guests upon departure.
• Maintain a clean host reception area and respond to inquiries.
• Assist with takeout orders and incoming calls/question handling.
