The Woodlands Resort in the Houston area seeks a friendly host/hostess to create a welcoming first impression in the restaurant. You will greet guests, present seating options, and guide them to tables while highlighting menu items.

Responsibilities include coordinating with servers, maintaining dining room setup, handling reservations, and supporting smooth service. Strong communication and reliable attendance are essential.

Qualifications

• Must understand guest requests, memos, reservations and event orders.
• Ability to remember and promote the variety of menu items.
• Ability to move through a crowded room to seat guests.
• Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints with empathy and proactive solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication with staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet guests as they arrive, offer seating options, escort to table and present menu.
• Read, maintain, and log daily entries to coordinate communication between shifts and management.
• Maintain proper set-up of dining room.
• Receive reservations and arrange for special functions in the restaurant.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
