Job summary

The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation (TRMF) is seeking a Host/Cashier to handle guest check transactions, support food service, and maintain a welcoming dining experience. You will operate a POS system, process payments, and ensure accurate cash handling with a positive attitude.

This full-time role requires excellent communication, teamwork, and the ability to stand for long periods. Shifts include Sundays through Saturdays, with weekends and long hours common in a busy hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and teammates.
• Ability to operate POS and handle cash accurately.
• Flexibility to work across roles and venues.

Responsibilities

• Operates a POS system and processes cash/credit payments correctly.
• Delivers high-quality guest service in a courteous manner.
• Maintains cash security and accurate till at all times.
• Opens and closes till at start/end of shifts per policy.
• Assists food service team with setup/cleanup and cleaning tasks.
• Stock beverage area and service ware; ensure cleanliness.
• Operates host seating, distributes menus, explains items.
• Provides upbeat, friendly guest interactions and farewell remarks.
• Supports teammates to ensure smooth operations.
