Job summary

Old Gilman Grill LLC is seeking a friendly Host to warmly greet guests at the door, seat patrons, and present menus in a professional, quick manner.

You will manage wait times, communicate with guests, and support a smooth dining room flow while maintaining clean host area and answering menu questions with a welcoming attitude. Responsibilities include coordinating wait lists, guiding guests to tables, ensuring cleanliness, and assisting with to-go orders when needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with management, servers, team members and guests.
• Must read, write, and determine wait time based on procedures.
• Must visually scan restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, present menus to guests and inform them of special menu items.
• Treat guests to ensure their complete satisfaction.
• Run the floor plan board.
• Observe tables and track cleanliness and occupancy.
• Take guest information for wait list and quote wait time.
• Maintain host area cleanliness and stock menus.
• Answer phones and questions concerning the menu.
• Interact with guests to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Fill to-go orders when applicable.
• Maintain restrooms throughout shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
