Job summary

Backyard Gilbert, part of Evening Entertainment Group, is seeking a friendly Host(ess) to warmly welcome guests, guide them to tables, and present menus. You will be the first impression and help ensure a smooth dining experience in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

The role requires knowledge of the menu, the ability to estimate wait times, and a neat, professional appearance. You must be 18+, lift up to 25 pounds, and be willing to work flexible shifts in Gilbert, AZ.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of reservation and seating systems.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prolonged standing and walking; able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a friendly attitude and manage seating.
• Manage seating arrangements and wait lists to maximize capacity.
• Maintain an organized entrance area and presentable for guests.
• Guide guests to tables, present menus, and share daily specials.
• Know the menu ingredients, prep methods, and allergens.
• Communicate wait times and updates to guests.
• Stay updated on promotions and offerings.
• Adhere to uniform standards and maintain grooming.
• Communicate effectively with guests, coworkers and management.
• Maintain required work licenses or permits as needed.
• Follow company policies and be flexible for other duties.
