Job summary

Portland Harbor Hotel, a Colwen Hotels Property, seeks a friendly Front Desk Associate to join our team in Portland, ME. You will handle guest registrations, reservations, and provide information about the hotel and local area.

Key duties include welcoming guests, processing check-ins/outs, and resolving service issues with professionalism and tact. The role requires flexibility for a 7-day rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Superior interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to deal with difficult guests.

Responsibilities

• Operate the front desk and assist guests with inquiries and other needs during pre-arrival, registration, stay, checkout, and post-departure.
• Provide exceptional guest service.
• Efficiently manage the front desk operations; ensure check-in/out is timely.
• Warmly and professionally welcome all guests.
• Process guest check-in: confirm reservations, assign rooms.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel policies, rates, discounts, and events.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping to track room readiness and communicate guest requests.
