Job summary

Portland Harbor Hotel in Portland, ME is seeking highly motivated and friendly Housekeepers to join our team, performing cleaning tasks in accordance with Colwen and brand standards. You will receive room assignments, clean and stock guest rooms, respond to guest requests, restock supplies, and ensure rooms meet hotel standards with a final walk-through.

Prior hotel cleaning experience preferred; must be detail-oriented, able to work quickly with minimal supervision, and available for a 7-day

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a cleaner or housekeeper, hotel experience preferred.
• Detail oriented and thorough in performing cleaning tasks.
• Able to interact with guests in a pleasant and friendly manner.
• Strong prioritization and time management skills.
• Willingness to work a rotational 7-day cycle including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Receive room assignments from manager and prioritize rooms.
• Clean, stock and maintain assigned guest rooms per standards.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and requests from other departments.
• Check inventory of cleaning cart and replenish supplies as needed.
• Ensure privacy of guests and secure belongings during service.
• Make beds, restock linens, and clean bathrooms and stations.
• Remove trash and service items; ensure appliances are clean and working.
• Final walk-through to ensure rooms meet hotel standards.
