Job summary

Westgate Resorts’ VI Resorts at The Embarcadero in Newport, Oregon, invites you to join our front desk team. As the first point of contact, you will welcome guests, manage check-ins and check-outs, assist with reservations, and provide local recommendations to ensure a memorable stay.

Candidates should be detail oriented, able to work evenings and weekends, proficient with Microsoft Office, and capable of handling cash, phone messages, and guest requests with a friendly, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer operations.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, in person and over the phone.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated sound judgment with guests and team members.
• Basic math, inventory, and cash-handling skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and complete check-in/check-out procedures.
• Issue room keys and coordinate with Bell Services as needed.
• Organize and distribute mail and messages for guests.
• Accurately send and receive phone messages.
• Provide information about the resort, local restaurants, shopping, and attractions.
• Monitor room availability and maintain guest records.
• Post charges, process payments, and provide correct change.
• Make, modify, and confirm guest reservations.
• Apply charges to guest accounts for dining, room service, etc.
• Assist with restaurant reservations, transportation, and local activities.
• Secure guest valuables in the safe or safety deposit box.
• Perform nightly bucket checks to align records with guest activity.
• Address guest concerns promptly and resolve issues.
