Job summary

Best Western Plus Agate Beach Inn in Newport, Oregon is seeking a Front Desk Agent to warmly welcome guests, complete check-ins and check-outs, and address guest needs with professional, friendly service. The 148-room oceanfront hotel features Sea Glass Bistro & Lounge, indoor pool, and extensive meeting space, all within a nationally recognizable brand.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED preferred or 6 months of related experience/training.
One year of hospitality experience preferred.
Experience handling cash and credit card procedures.
Basic Math skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability and flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Uses suggestive selling techniques to upsell hotel rooms and other services.
Follows all guest service guidelines including check-in, reservations, check-out and special requests.
Responds promptly to guest inquiries or complaints in a friendly manner and offers alternatives if needed.
Demonstrates commitment to guest service by being hospitable and accommodating.
Documents guest accidents by completing the accident report form.
