Job summary

Gun Lake Casino Resort in Wayland, MI is seeking a Front Desk Agent to greet guests, execute swift check-in/check-out, and coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and restaurant teams to fulfill guest requests.

The role requires excellent communication, a professional appearance, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; some experience with hotel software is preferred, and availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required; college preferred.
• Experience with hotel management software and front desk operations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills focused on guest service.
• Detail-oriented with accurate administrative and transactional tasks.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification with Alcohol Awareness (TIPS) preferred or training provided.
• Gun Lake Tribal Gaming Commission license required or able to obtain.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests on arrival and manage check-in/check-out.
• Handle guest inquiries professionally.
• Manage room bookings including walk-ins using reservation software.
• Address and resolve guest complaints; escalate when needed.
• liaison between guests and hotel departments (housekeeping, maintenance, restaurants).
• Handle billing and payment processes; ensure accuracy and security.
• Provide information on hotel services and local attractions.
• Assist guests with dining, entertainment, or activities planning.
• Maintain pass-down log of guest interactions and incidents.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
